About Washburn K9

At Washburn K9, our goal is to help our clients build a solid foundation with their dog in order to communicate effectively as a team. We use a reward-based balanced approach to training. We start with the foundations, and build you up to create a positive relationship and successful communication system between you and your dog. No two teams are the same, so we build a training plan that is designed specifically for you.

Tiffany Washburn with Kevin the Bernese Mountain Dog

Owner/Head Trainer - Tiffany

I am an Air Force Veteran, wife and special needs mom. In 2018 I was interested in a service dog for my disabled daughter, but quickly realized how expensive and time consuming it would be. I have had dogs in my life since I was nine, and I have always had an interest in dog training, so I started researching and pursuing that goal in 2021, after bringing home my first Bernese Mountain Dog, Kevin.

I have been working with clients and their dogs since 2021. I have consistently pursued continuing education and I'm always learning how to better understand canine cognition and how to apply that knowledge to my training process.

Kevin and Molly - Bernese Mountain Dogs

Lead Canines - Kevin & Molly

Kevin and Molly are Bernese Mountain Dogs. They both love training, playing and exploring, and help me daily when working with clients.

Gnocchi - Australian Shepherd puppy

New Recruit - Gnocchi "Helix Let the Good Times Roll"

Gnocchi is a rowdy Australian Shepherd pup and joined our family in October of 2024. She will be showing in conformation, and competing in agility in the future.
